Shiho Hinomori is an uncoming playable custom character in Fraymakers. She is being created by Mizu, being the second character revealed as their creation, with An Shiraishi being the first one. Shiho Hinomori originates from the mobile video game Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage, released in 2020 in Japan and 2021 globally. Shiho Hinomori was finally finished and released on October 8, 2023. A playtest version was used a week before the official release.
Description[]
Shiho Hinomori is a first year that attends Miyamasuzaka Girls Academy as a student. She attends Class 1-A, along her friends Minori Hanasato and Kohane Azusawa. Shiho is introverted and dislikes interacting with others, instead using her time to immerse herself in her hobbies. She's blunt and straightforward, not being afraid to criticize something, striking fear into the minds of many of her peers. Because of this, multiple rumors have spread throughout her life claiming Shiho to be a bully. Despite these claims, Shiho is only trying her best to not drag those around her down. Despite her introverted status, Shiho is kind and willing to lend a hand to those that she could help.
Outside of Miyamasuzaka, Shiho can be seen hanging around Scramble Crossing, a huge central area right in the middle of Shibuya, using looking for a place to relax and have a nice bowl of ramen. She can also be seen with her childhood friends Ichika Hoshino, Saki Tenma, and Honami Mochizuki. The four of them have created their childhood band, which they call Leo/Need, named after the Leonids the four of them saw together staring at the night sky at a playground. Shiho can also be seen attending and working at a live house, preparing the venue for performances.
Playstyle[]
Shiho Hinomori is a Brawler/Spacing hybrid. She is not the fastest character, and her jump height is lacking as well. She struggles to approach, and her moves have quite a bit of lag to them. However, what Shiho does have is strength and range. Many of Shiho's attacks rely on her trusty bass guitar sitting on her back. Most of Shiho's moves involving her bass guitar have a sweet spot on the base. This gives Shiho huge, hard-hitting disjoints, allowing characters to also struggle approaching, as well as being knocked far away if their attempt fails.
Strengths:
-Shiho is incredibly strong, allowing her to knock opponents away further and quicker than usual.
-Shiho's bass (and in Back Air's case, a sword) gives her a massive disjoint on some of her moves, allowing for safe anti-airs and general spacing.
-Shiho is also rather small and skinny (she's shorter than An!), giving her a smaller hurtbox for opponents to capitalize on.
-Despite being small and skinny, Shiho is a bit heavier than expected, mostly due to her bass guitar.
Weaknesses:
-Shiho is rather slow on the ground and in the air, making it hard for her to approach when she needs to.
-Shiho does not use her bass for some of her attacks, giving her less range and giving opponents an easier chance to counter.
-Moves that do use Shiho's bass are also rather slow and laggy, giving her less opportunity to avoid counter attacks.
