FrayTools Wiki

Cube will be joining Fraymakers via FrayTools with his dashing skills, and editor props. Cube was revealed on Xillco and Azimaon's channel (Xarender) August 10th, 2022.

Cube comes from a game called “Geometry Dash”. In the game, he usually…jumps and avoids spikes. However, in more advanced levels and new updates, Cube endures through many great challenges, and travels in many forms (As a ship, ball, UFO, wave, robot, and spider) He’s also been upside-down, reversed, and split in two. What a survivor.

In the Fraymakers version of Cube, its speed and some of its animations are inspired by an epic auto level called "GD Legends" by OmegaFalcon in Geometry Dash.

Character Overview[]

Cube is a fast, rushdown, diverse character with many combos, momentum, and attacks with medium to heavy damage. Cube is also a flow-heavy character that has a lot of options for movement as well. Cube can create many connecting combos with his dash attack, aerials, and light attacks which can be helpful when keeping the opponent at bay and also getting sort of quick K.Os. It's best to use the specials and aerials to really target your opponent and effectively dominate him/her in the battlefield. Cube also has access to extra jumps like Kirby in SSBU. He has a total of 4 jumps. Useful is aerial combos and recovery.

Moveset[]

Cube (Jab)
Cube summons a fist that punches the opponent as many times the button is pressed. Each hit deals 1.5 damage.
Forward Tilt (Block Toss)
Cube (Forward Tilt)
Creates a block and pushes it towards the opponent horizontally causing good knockback and 5 damage.
Down Tilt (Pressed)
Cube (Down Tilt)
Presses its body down a bit damaging close opponents on his right side. This move deals 5 damage and good knockback.
Up Tilt (Stretch)
Cube (Up Tilt)
Stretches upward dealing 6 damage.
Dash Attack (Rolling Ball!)
Cube (New Dash Attack) (1)
The red portal appears and transforms Cube into a Ball. It then rushes towards the opponent speedily causing decent knockback and 8 damage. Great for momentum and starting combos.
Forward Strong (Ship Ahead)
Cube (Forward Strong)
Cube transforms into the ship and moves in the left direction or the right direction with damage that varies and great knockback. Launches the opponent more horizontally than vertically. If you're close to the opponent when using this move, you can land 16 to 20 damage. If you're far, but still land the attack, you can deal around 6-7 damage. Basically, this move can land 6 to 20 damage.
Down Strong (Spikes Arise)
Cube (Down Strong)
Creates two spikes each on both sides of Cube dealing 13 to 19 damage, causing great knockback to those in contact with them.
Up Strong (Uppercut)
Cube (Up Strong)
Creates a big fist upwards that deals 15 to 21 damage and knocks the enemy upwards greatly. (Slow attack)
Neutral Air (Expand)
Cube (Neutral Air)
The character expands itself and deals 7 damage to those who touch him.
Forward Air (Push!)
Cube (Forward Air)
Moves forward a little bit with blue energy mid-air, dealing 7 damage to those who get hit by this move. Great for aerial K. O's if the opponent is hurt enough.
Down Air (Drop)
Cube (Down Air)
The cube falls straight down dealing 9 damage to those that get hit by this attack.
Back Air (Reverted Mirror)
Cube (Back Air)
A mirror portal generates and reverses Cube to the opposite direction while dashing dealing 10 damage and in the end of this attack, another mirror portal appears and reverts Cube's direction back forward.
Up Air (Mid-Air Stretch)
Cube (Up Air)
Same as "Stretch" but with more height mid-air, and two different angles. One on top on him, one at the bottom of him. This move deals 6 damage.
Grab (Tight Grip)
Cube (Grab)
(Hold)

(Hold)

(Cancel)

(Cancel)

(Fail)

(Fail)

Cube gets its hand stretches it out and holds the opponent.
Pummel (Squeezing Fist)
Cube (Pummel)
Enlarges it's fists and shrinks its fists repeatably dealing very low damage each hit.
Forward Throw (Gravitational Palm)
Cube (Forward Throw)
The hand turns to a fist, enters two gravity portals, and with the built up force, the fist turns to a hand and throws or pushes the opponent with the palm of it's hand. (Kind of weird for a throw, but suitable) This move throws the opponent horizontally. Applies good knockback and 8 damage.
Down Throw (The Big Point)
Cube (Down Throw)
Cube's fist turns into a big pointed-finger and presses it unto the opponent. This deals medium damage and good knockback.
Back Throw (To The Wall)
Cube (Back Throw)
Cube creates three blocks and uses its fists to smash the grabbed opponent to the wall, knocking the opponent backwards. Good knockback horizontally, and medium damage.
Up Throw (Mini-Tower)
Cube (Up Throw)
Holds the opponent in place and creates a block that pops out a spike to launch the opponent upward. Great knockback, low damage.
Neutral Special (Spider Blast)
Cube (Neutral Special)
Cube (Neutral Special Projectile)
Cube goes into spider mode and shoots a quick projectile that if it hits causes the opponent to stay in hitstop for a moment. After the move is done, Cube will have a very short cooldown and turn back to icon form. Best to use this move when trying to land K.Oes if the opponent is at high percentage. This is also a good combo starter.
Side Special (The Wave)
Cube (Side Special)
Cube transforms into the wave and will move up and down diagonally sideways and deal constant medium damage. (Multi-hit Move) This move will last for 2 seconds.
Down Special (Teleportal Strike)
Cube (Down Special)
Cube summons a teleportal and when he enters, he becomes invisible and then reappears higher up out of another teleportal, on his way out he strikes the opponent dealing medium damage and really good knockback. May be hard to land. So, this move takes a bit of timing. This can also lead to an aerial combo.
Up Special (Rocket Jump)
Cube (Up Special)
The Cube goes into robot mode and will use its rocket feet to fly upwards. Deals low damage and low knockback.
Assist Move
Super Move
Get Up Attack
Cube (Getup Attack)
Looks angrily and creates a fist on one side and then after that fist disappears another fist quickly appears on the other side as Cube gets back in its idle stance. Each attack deals low damage each.
Ledge Attack
Cube (Ledge Attack)
Cube rolls back onto the stage angrily with charged blue energy ready to attack opponents while recovering. This will deal low to medium damage.
Taunt Cube gets its headphones and jams to the music in the surrounding stage.

Trivia (Answered by: Xillco)[]

  • Originally, I was going to make Cube a duo character to help feature every mode better, but eventually I decided to make him a single character with the ability to use every mode up to 2.1 from Geometry Dash. The two disadvantages from this new decision are that some modes will have less notice, and some specials with be hard to code in the future.
  • I was going to make alts. the resembles popular GD Youtubers like Mulpan, Nexus, Wulzy and etc as the main alts. But I decided to make color alts for Cube as its main alts instead. I may create an extra alt after Cube's release that resembles one popular GD Youtuber.
  • Cube will entirely be made by me (Xillco). Azimaon (another member of Xarender) will be working on another character.
  • Cube will have slight references to a level called "GD Legends" from Geometry Dash made by OmegaFalcon.
  • To describe Cube's personality a bit. It will express a serious personality. It will likely show signs of anger, chill behavior, and concentration during a match. Cube will not smile at all, not even in taunts. (Planned)
  • The ship will be shown in Cube's super move (if you're wondering). Still deciding what Cube would do in that form.
  • OmegaFalcon is also in development alongside Cube that will come from the same game (Geometry Dash). It was recently revealed 9/4/22.
  • SFX for this character will mainly come from other sources outside Geometry Dash. But the sound when Cube is destroyed in a level will apply to when it's launched in Fraymakers. (Planned)
  • Not every portal from Geometry Dash will be used in Cube's moveset, like the shrink portal, the dual portal, the gravity portal, or the teleporting portal.
  • The move set and character overview was changed to better make Cube feel more like itself from it's game. Thanks to InternetThashe for the character advice and the few changes.
  • Most of Cube's testing and proper feedback during the process of making him in FrayTools was by HiMyNameIsExo and SaltLevelsMax. (Needed testers before the game released. They were very helpful, so, please support them on their creative journey in Fraymakers as well.)

(I hope these answers are useful in knowing about Cube's character and plans. Trivia will continually be updated. (not frequently)
