Bronco is a potential fighter/assist. He originates from a work in progress 2d fighting game called "Ring-Out Ringers" as one of the playable character in said game, however not much about his origin source has been revealed. Bronco is a cactus wearing a hat that references the western movie genre. Bronco is extremely skilled wind magic and an excellent martial fighter.
Due to his source being in early development, his appearance and his abilities are prone to change.
Playstyle[]
Bronco is a Zoner with tons of projectiles and area control tools. He has very threatening projectiles that deal lots of damage. He can use the projectiles to force opponents to dance when they are trying to evade them, but evading them successfully will open him up as his attacks take awhile to start up. His projectiles are also very slow, allowing them to be evaded easier, but also allows Bronco to use active projectiles as a shield. He is able to play at both mid and long range, but his normals are unsafe at close range.

Wind Mana can be gained in two ways:
- When a projectile stays alive for long enough, it will be charged with wind, allowing Bronco to absorb that wind when he gets close to it.
- When a projectile that has not been absorbed of it’s wind magic (even if it is not charged) hits an opponent, the opponent will be charged with wind magic causing Bronco to gain Wind Mana by standing near them.

Important note:
Since this move set is for a character in an unfinished game. Mechanics are highly prone to change.
Ground Attacks:[]
Attack | Name | Description | Damage |
---|---|---|---|
Jab | 5A | Simple two hit punch. Second hit has a set knockback force. | |
Forward tilt | Hurricane Hurl / Hat Cycle | Bronco creates sharp wind that pokes in mid-range. After it hits a yellow hurricane comes from Bronco's screen that hits grounded opponents. He uses this to hit at mid-range and uses the hurricane to force the opponent to either jump or block, which prevents them from rushing down.
|
|
Up tilt | 5B | Bronco uses a heavy punch that knocks way opponents hit. | |
Down tilt | 2B | Bronco lowers his body down and slams the ground. The move ignores friction while being cast, allowing momentum to be extended while preforming this move | |
Dash attack | 2C | Bronco slides forwards on the ground. Bronco can use this to fallow up on his projectile hits, due to its large travel distance. | |
Forward strong | Thorn Buster | Bronco jumps forward and bashes the opponents downwards. The hit knockdowns the opponent allowing Bronco to easily set up okizeme. It can be used to pick up wind mana on opponents. | |
Up strong | Hat Tip | Bronco tips his hat down and then holds it. While he holds it, you are able to switch direction and can release the button to do a follow-up. Charging it up enough causes Bronco to use a powered-up version which turns it into an anti-air. | |
Down strong | Launcher | Bronco swings his arm knocking hit opponents upwards. Afterward, the move can be jump canceled on hit allowing it to be a air combo starter. |
Aerial attacks:[]
Attack | Name | Description | Damage |
---|---|---|---|
Neutral aerial | Spike Spin | Bronco spins around mid-air, stalling for a brief moment. This move is a multi-hit allowing it to be a good combo link. If this move if preformed during a fast fall, it will rapidly propel Bronco downwards. | |
Forward aerial | Thorn Spike | Spikes your opponent launching them at a down forward angle, forcing them to hit projectiles. In this game, it is a good edge guarding tool. | |
Back aerial | Hat tip air. | Bronco tips his hat down and then holds it. While he holds it, you are able to switch direction and can release the button to do a follow-up. Charging it up enough causes Bronco to use a powered-up version which turns it into an anti-air.
|
|
Up aerial | Air 5A | A light punch upwards. Good for juggling opponent above you. | |
Down aerial | Hurricane Hurl Air | Bronco creates sharp wind that pokes opponents underneath the Bronco. Hitting the move will summon a brown hurricane from above Bronco that is only able to hit airborne opponents. This allows Bronco to use his upward launching attacks as set ups to knock opponents into the hurricane. |

Special moves:[]
Attack | Name | Description | Damage |
---|---|---|---|
Neutral special move | Spike Shot | Simple slow projectile forwards. If the button is pressed again while in the move's start-up, the projectile will shoot at a high angle allowing it to cover air options. | |
Side special move | Poke Bullet / Poke Partner | When this move is preform (while there are no other cross hairs on screen), Bronco fires a cross hair. The cross hair interacts with nothing and does not deal magic, but counts as a projectile allowing Bronco to gain wind mana from it, pull it, and speed it up. While the crosshair is out, Bronco unlocks two options: Poke Bullet and Poke Partner.
Bronco fires the spell exploding the crosshair and dealing lots of stun to opponents. This stop incoming approaches and allows your other projectiles to gain ground.
This causes a mini cactus to appear a bit behind the crosshair. The mini cactus hits the opponents for decent damage. The mini cactus disappears when it hits an opponent or after a brief period of time. This move can be easily dodged with a dash, but bronco can take advantage of this and switch direction at the last moment to cause the enemy to run into the mini cactus. |
|
Up special move | Hat Drop | Prevents use of hat spin. Bronco directs his hat to move beneath him. When you input the move again or the hat hits an opponent, it returns to you dealing damage. Can be used for stage control. | |
Down special move | Hat Spin Stance / Hat Swoosh |
|
|
QCF + Special | Wind Whirl | Speeds up all of your projectiles on screen. Bronco uses this move to secure hits with projectiles, and is a very rewarding use of Wind Mana. When your hat drop is on screen it will automatically return it when this move is played. |
